See, what happens is that your 'significant other' has all these problems on her mind, and so they manifest themselves to you when she feels the need to get your attention.
I have a fix for you... it might even SAVE your relationship! 😉
Here's the thing in a nutshell: If God himself (herself, whatever), gave your significant other the light of angels... she still would not understand your relationship with the entity known as "chess". That entity is singled out as "competition for your attention" to her. 🙁
What you must do is actually simple, and if you don't do it then she will make your life a living Hell!!! :'(
So take my advice... nip this thing in the bud. Here's what you have to do:
Make enough moves in your games that you can stay off RHP for 2-3 days. When you go home from work (or if you get on the internet before going to work) DO NOT get on the computer!
See, you've established a pattern in your life. One that she EXPECTS you to follow every day. So guess what? You not only don't follow the pattern she is expecting, but you grab her and pull her down into your lap. Yeah, and you start paying a lot of attention to her. Ask her how her day went? Ask her about her dreams... carress her hair. Gently rub her body. Give your FULL attention just to her.
After about an hour she'll say something about you getting on the computer... your games, something. This is predictable and it's also a TEST! That's when you just say, "Naw, I'd rather be with you honey, I can get on there anytime."
WOW! That'll blow her mind! She might actually decide that there IS HOPE FOR YOU! 🙂
You will probably even score that night. 😵
See, the thing with relationships is this: Nobody wants to be taken advantage of. Everybody wants their partner to make them the #1 priority in their parner's life. EVERYONE needs a person who fits the category of "special" in their life.
You are very lucky to have this beautiful person already in your life. Many of us on here don't. Please follow my advice and GROW with her.
Cheers,
Arrakis
