I'm not sure what season he's explained in, but there is a small blurb in one episode where Carla (I think) is telling someone that Turk bought him at a rummage sale for 5$. Something along those lines.

Yep they got him at garage sale and used it to scare Elliott but never ended up getting rid of him.

Unfortunately I watched My Tuscaloosa Heart from the first season the other day, in order to show my sister Elliot's "I Told You So" Dance... and we both felt said because season six doesn't come close 🙁

I have seen little of season six, since I don't get NBC. I watch on Comedy Central, and sometime Fox.
