I met someone on the internet, and I think tha I might have more than just a feeling of fondness for him. Unfortunately he lives about half way around the world and is 8 years older than me.. Should i keep this relationship going? or maybe just be a longtime friend. (he's also really hot, and has no idea how to play chess ^_^) awwww just thinking of him gets me so hyper...hehehe

I have no problem with pervs. Just as long as they aren't talking about gross stuff over the internet or looking at some girl change. My best friend Adam is a perv. Incredibly smart when it comes not to being caught about this stuff but not the brightest crayon in the box in other subjects.

what do u mean, same goes for lust???????????????????????????????? u think she's a 50 year old pervert????????????????????? uh..... nope....... she just happens to be my very good friend who goes to Trickum w/ me........ so hahahah............................ 🙂
As for being 12, and "falling in love" with someone 8 years older, that just plain scares me. You little kids sitting here starting posts like "hi, any teens want to chat"? Are just asking for trouble, in my personal opinion.
So if you are really a couple little girls, I suggest you smarten up rather than try to tell me you are really just little girls... I feel better just thinking you are some 50 year old pervs online.

Well there IS something to falling in love over the internet, yes 12 is a bit young I agree but it does happen to people. I know, because me and my boyfriend have met over the internet, we were from different countries, and now are very very happy together!
So, anything CAN happen...but I think the people here are right, use a lot of caution.

The woman was not 12.

So do I....a couple of people I know did too...they have met over the internet, one being from Europe and the other from America and in a months' time they are getting married.
It seems to happen more and more as more and more people get ineternet connections. But young people like 12-14 year olds and such can indeed be targets of some sick pervs...😕
I guess the issue is more about absolute age than relative. If someone aged 40 marries someone aged 30, you will get some strange looks, but noone is really offended. Subtract 20 years from the ages (and change the 'marriage' part into 'is seeing'😉, and you are called a p(a)edophile.
It also depends on your POV. I know a girl who was in the same class as me, and being 15 she went out with a 20 year old guy living 160 kms away. For those people not accustomed to Dutch distances, it is a lot here. Apparently all went well, though I was not so close to her to really know.
Some people here would call the guy a perv, while he himself may heve been perfectly comfortable.
So everyone should decide for themselves what type of relationship they want. And if it is controversial in the eyes of others, you either must learn not to listen to the critics, or end the relationship.
