i just learnt a potentially very costly lesson 😞
never limp in with AA in early position after a raise, someone will call with 66 and hit a 6 on the flop and knock you out of a tournament that the winner won over $12,000. 😞
i'll just have to take my $20 winnings and try again next time......😞😞😞
why pay for a chess site? i used to like chess, n ...[text shortened]... other hand is a lot of fun when you're not getting your As beat by playing like an idiot.
Not to say there is anything wrong with taking 20.00 or whatever you can afford from time to time...If you play daily, you have a problem with it.
I am ok at the level of chess I am playing at, like yourself I don't feel like doing any study. I would sooner have the chess addiction that only costs me pennys a day, than have a gambling addiction, which could cost 100's or 1,000's of dollars or more per day.

like you said as long as you're playing with money you can afford to lose, there's no problem. and i'm actually up in the short time that i've been playing so it's all good.
i've always been fascinated with people who have addiction like gambling, especially slot machines. not the brightest people in the world for sure.

I think it is pretty much like any other addiction. You start out in control, and somewhere along the way lose the control, but in your mind, you say you are still in control.
Good Luck to you, and I mean that sincerely!
Addiction is a weird thing.
Some addictions costs you money and your health. In other words: you are UTTERLY stupid to become addicted. Example: alcohol - Very Rusty.
Other addictions costs money, might win you some money, bring joy and therefore health. In other words: you are not as stupid as Very Rusty.
Conclusion: everybody that gambles a bit of dough is less stupid then Very Rusty.

ROFLMAO...You got me rolling over in stitches here, I got a sore stomach from laughing at your sillyness!
Grow up, give you head a little shake, and become a man!

All my bags are packed I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin' it's early morn
The taxi's waitin' he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go
Cause I'm leavin' o 't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go
