I think it is a picture of air bubbles which have escaped from the eviscerated body of your mother in law, who you left in the garden pond, which later froze over preventing the bubbles escaping.
Either that or the tar parking lot where you work, after they plowed and mashed it down to about 1/2" glazed snow, not realising the next day it would rain and freeze over, becoming a pristine ice sheet.
