@kewpie saidActually peppers are fruits, everything with seeds are classed as fruits regardless of how we use or see them.
Beets.
Red cabbage.
Tomatoes.
Red bell pepper.
Radish.
Red chili pepper.
Radicchio.
Red leaf lettuce.
I'd call some of these purple rather than red, but chili and bell pepper are undeniably red and vegetable. I notice they think tomato is a vegetable.
Here's the weird stuff:

@fmf saidI lean to tomato being a vegetable because the juice I drink (V-8) is called vegetable juice over here. It's mostly tomato juice. If you have an issue with this, please contact the company that makes it rather than getting abrasive with me.
Get off the sofa, get rid of the remote control, get rid of the smart phone, and try out some recipes that question your prejudices about the use of tomatoes.

One last thing: Please try Susan Polgar's Chess Tactics for Champions. It's perfect for someone at your level who's been here for 17 years and has yet to rise above the novice category. 🙂
@mchill saidGreat Advice!

@very-rusty saidI have no idea, but ketchup is nice.
C'mon can't we call it a fruit as well as a vegetable?

@mchill saidWith the exception of legumes, vegetables don't have seeds.

@very-rusty saidNo, it's a fruit.
Couldn't we class tomatoes as both?

Don't make me have to report you to the fruit/vegetable police 😡
