i doubt many cases of this are likely anyway really - do you?
But what if, right, a man goes mad and is locked up in an insane asylum and he never told anybody about an account he had at his bank that he put his lottery winnings in, then when he got over his madness and forgot he played chess and the bank account, how could he un-subscribe then?

Is that fair?

I think Chris and Russ are taking a bloody liberty, that poor geezer not only has to suffer the stigma of once being mad, but if he ever remembers about his bank account, he will have no money left in it because of those two fat cats.

Edit: Just checking I said cats at the end there.

What I said is this: A dead person cannot cancel their subscription. If you have not posted or made a move for a few years, there is a very good chance you are not on the site anymore.

I use money orders personally, will never have to be concerned about that. 😉

i think we are pushing the boundaries of likelyhood here but ok ill go with it . . .

even in this case, we are talking about what? $40 per year? how small a lottery win would it need to be for it to be ALL gone. or how many years would it take?

i can see your point, that "its the principle" - but your example doesnt hold up well in real terms.

My Lawyer who retired, told me one time if you know you are going to die, Max all your charge cards to the limit, the debt will die with you.

Dear Chris and Russ,

I have reason to believe I used to be a member on this site some years ago and was a recurring subscriber.
I unfortunately lost my mind and am now unable to remember my previous user name or the bank account from which you continue to take funds.
Would it be possible for you to transfer these funds to my new account and lets say back date them 2....no 3 years?

The voices insist I am right in this matter and urge me to pursue this to the fullest extent possible.

Could you also make sure that none of the monies refunded were printed between the years of 1993 and 1996, as these were not good years for me, neither is the colour blue.

May I take this opportunity to thank you for any assistance in this matter.

(I cannot sign my name as they are listening)

Well if tell you, then I will have to do something unpleasant, and I don't want to back to that padded cell, the voices tell me to do evil things.

His answer: Well, have you ever considered changing your name, or moving to another country.
