Well I hope it works, I for one prefer Witty to Gritty.
So I'm out of the request that suggests taking away freedom, just to condone previous mistakes.
So. indeed I will remain individual, and it is none of GB's business whether I thumb up or thumb down, as he states clearly it is inconsequential.
As for 'third' point - I care not to join crowds, GB, in approval or disapproval.... I do and always have posted as I desire. If everybody was constructive, all the time - we are introducing lies of attitude and thought!!!!!
Never disagreed with your wife? Not once? Your nurse? Your Bingo caller?
I doubt it has all been horses for courses.
I am grateful for you accepting my opinion, before you feel the need to do so.

Hi Gramps.
I never really bother with this thumbs up/thumbs down stuff.
If one could see who thumbed up or down then that would be different.
If I like something I usually say so, If I disagree I usualy say so.
Thumbing up or down without knowing who did what is pretty pointless.

I'm making a comfortable living on the players from here making moves
without thiking. It is a bottomless pit of blunders.
So I doubt if you will get much success asking them to think before they type. 🙂
Often what can termed as cruel is meant to be a joke that has been poorly written.
(remember not everyone on here has English as their mother tongue.)
Others are people are just living up to their chosen persona.
Please don't let them get you down Gramps.
They are all chess players, I doubt very much if they joined this site just
to hurl abuse at you.
You help in making RHP the place to be. It's full characters.
Without them it would be pretty dull.
(I thumbed up this thread.)

What he should be doing is explaining how HE is going to change, and if he does change over time people won't react to everything he says negatively. Sounds to me that he wants to continue being a condescending hypocritical know-it-all and we're suddenly supposed to tolerate his asinine assertions.

I thumbed it down, not because I don't want to get along with people, but because he's taking no responsibility for the way things are in these forums. If there is a problem in this forum, it is him and NOT how people react to him.
He baits, he makes statements he will not explain, he finds fault in everyone around him and no fault in himself. This thread is yet another ploy to bait people in, he knows full well people don't get along with him because of the way he behaves and he's asking everyone to change. Twisted.

My bingo caller, well not the caller but the guy that went around checking on claims for the caller:
He was a complete fud!
I called house a bit late and He explained over his mike that it was a false call, for which I was hailed with low groaning noise,
in response I shouted (I did not have a mike) that it was a late call not a false call.
To cut a short story even shorter; this, me versus miked up bingo gofer went on until we remembered the big impatient crowd hungry for more numbers and agreed to differ.
But to this day I still think I am technically correct. 🙂

Yeah seen them Canadians cuddling when they play that ice Hockey, friendly bunch.

Maybe the mike wasn't Canadian, and would give you a scouse tramline.

It's not a game any longer. It's about time. It's high time for all of us to come home to our ever 'lovin senses. It's time to come out from behind the cover of worn out avatars and nicknames. For now, I offer this snippet of advice: Show, don't tell.

I must apologize GB. Me and a few of my friend group used to play a game where we randomly picked users to ridicule and your name just happened to come up. You've done nothing to deserve the ridicule you've endured and I can only hope me and my friends can make the required changes for you that will make RHP A BETTER PLACE.
