Spencer Seim and Zach Hill of Hella (Guitar/Drums)
Rob Crow of several bands (Guitar/Vocals)
John Dieterich and Greg Saunier of Deerhoof (Guitar/Drums)
Shahin Motia of Ex-Models (Guitar)
Kid Millions of Oneida (Drums)
Manu Ros of Giddy Motors (Drums/Bass)
David Grubbs (Multi-Instrumentalist)
Jim O'Rourke (Multi-Instrumentalist and Producer)

radio out here in the desert is useless.

Now don't be making fun of this old fool, darv. Yeah those bands that rbmorris and others are always talking about. They take old songs and change them by changing the time structure and other aspects electronically.
Mike Campbell (lead guitar) and Steve Ferrone (drums) from TP and the Heartbreakers.
Ferrone has a pretty interesting history behind him.
Someone mentioned Jimi Hendrix. I don't get it. I just think he was way over rated. Even for his time period. At his best he probably could not hold up to your average rock guitarist of today.

Biggest load of baloney I've read in a long time.
Right now, music is being made that is incredibly original and challenging. The majority of people just never hear it because they don't seek it out.
Bands like Deerhoof, Animal Collective, Ex-Models, Lightning Bolt, Wolf Eyes, and so many more rival the likes of The Fall and The Residents for sheer originality.
Deerhoof - Original and might grow on me. I'll listen to some more sometime.
Animal Collective - Original but not what I'd call rock.
Ex-Models - Couldn't find anything.
Lightning Bolt - No, a club near me used to play lots of that kind of stuff.
Wolf Eyes - Original but again not what I'd call rock.

Sounded like drugged up monkeys to me.
