To 4 more years...
President Bush now faces the ominous task of uniting the country. Torn by a divisive election, it is time to remember again the greatness of America. We are truly one nation under God. Prayer has powerfully united us in the past. Now we are ready to unite again, under the banner of prayer for this man [Pres. Bush] as he leads us ...[text shortened]... rage you to do your part [pray], and to consider how you can influence others to do so as well.
Think about it, four more years for Bushie to not just screw up one country, but THREE countries. He'll no doubt need the extra time. I was afraid of this. I don't think it speaks too highly of the basic American intellect.
Bushie is determined to cram his moral agenda down our throats. Say goodbye to any medical or social advancement. Stem cell research is out, a womans right to choose is about to be challenged.
These are just a few of his favorite targets...
I'm just sick about this.
I don't think Bush will be doing too much invading this time around. He's an isolationist at heart, and more interested in consolidating power at home than nation-building abroad. He made an exception for Saddam. I think he'll try to bring the troops home from Iraq relatively soon, and home they will stay.
I believe the noise Bush makes in his second term will be domestic-- more right-wing judges (including on the Supreme Court), partial privatization of Social Security (he'll attempt this, anyway), more tax cuts, restrictions on abortion, increased connection between church and state, and so on. My hope is that he won't despoil the environment too much-- other stuff is reversible. We'll see.

I agreed with Kerry on most issues but in the end safety I suppose is the most important issue for all Americans, so maybe we made the right choice. -Kev

What exactly is "moral values", and how will the Republicans go about enforcing them?
This sucks big time.Though the world might have an advantage dealing with a known devil than an unknown. Though what the hell will a Bush fresh with an electoral victory might unleash.sigh.Me thinks getting all Americans to register at a website like rhp and post at the forums might do a whole lot of good .They will atleast know how the rest of the world thinks and lose their isolationalist behaviour, instead of believing they are the only intelligent beings on earth capable of recognising a spade for what it is.sigh.Me wonders how many percent of people who have correspondence with non-americans with events like travelling, discussions in sites with forums etc voted.I seem to be losing my coherence I desist from posting further.Good luck to all Humans and the environment .They will need it.sigh.

ok, they can say it, but are they justified in saying it? i take it you think Bush did steal this election. How so?
Originally posted by Natural ScienceLOL, is that it? So, if that is more important then wars and suffering around the world caused by Americans, and in fairness, against Americans, how does this "great" Bush administration deliver their promise? Ok, banning gay marriage isn't hard, but it's stupid, I mean, it doesn't seriously effect you whether gays marry or not.

Anti-abortion, how can they enforce that? By outlawing it they will create a black market abortion industry were teenage girls kill themselves because they don't want to have a friggin baby. Also, they argue against abortion because they care about the lives of these unborn children, but why are they pro war? Are 100K Iraqis not living things? Also, if all these unborn unwanted children were to be born, Americas population would DOUBLE, and most of them would be in poverty class. Are Republicans willing to pay tax dollars for these kids? No, they cut income taxes. I'm confused, how can such a STRANGE (ok, maybe they are not evil, just weird and stupid) party be accepted in mainstream American politics?

jgv: "increased connection between church and state"
How do you think he will try to accomplish this ? I never heard him make statements about this. Did I miss something ?
