PS: dont know if this is true or not, but from what a friend told me, his lungs are also able to expand and gather more oxygen than the average person's. dont know exactly about the validity of this claim, or even how it would work, but this is what I have heard so I added it at the end here since if it is true, it could be obviously considered a clear advantage against the competition.
On his lungs, you're probably talking about his oxygen conversion ratio - the efficiency of his lungs. 70% plus puts you in the big league. All the great long-distance athletes, particularly runners, have that ability and it seems to be genetic as well as training. Plus, his heart - being a big muscle - is about a third bigger than the average.
I have small lungs but my oxygen conversion ratio was tested at about 70% - which should have made me much better at aerobic sports (like long-distance running or cycling) instead of my chosen anaerobic sports of squash and rugby (where I was completely puffed out at half-time). Wish I knew these things when I was younger. 🙁

Raises an interesting question - Who'll be more successful in politics?
a) Lance Armstrong
b) Arnold Schwarzywotsit
c) Will Smith (Future president of USA for sure)
