Last film you saw in the cinema

(*Hm, this thread seems to have prospect of longevity...)
In 2012 it was only 1 (one!), Sherlock Holmes sequel in February.

But last year, 2013, I saw several feature (and documentaries at CPH DOX), all of them whilst I was on the road, that is - in Copenhagen.

Belgian "Broken Circle Breakdown" (at the time it wasn't Oscar nominee yet).
It was supposed to be a study of disintegration of a family after they lost a child. Somehow it looks like je...ng off on the subject.

"My Life With Liberace" is not about Liberace but about - Douglas. He is too macho for this part. A Danish review has a title "Gekko and Bourne met each other under the sheets"

"Butler" Modernized version of "Roots". It was funny to see so many American presidents in one movie (hey, I am going to see punk band Presidents of USA in Utrecht in February!), played by unexpected actors...

"Counselor" by McCarthy & Scott Danish review said: "protagonists exchange pocket philosophy while drinking beer or whiskey..." I didn't find any deeper content

Now in Belgrade I can see Scorsese's Wall Street Wolf,
Secret Life of Walter Mitty,
and... that's all (I don-t count cartoons).

And for January 20th- I plan to go to the Cinemathque to see triple program of Louis de Funès.

A Swedish film about the Swedish singer Monica Zetterlund, "Monica Z", and before that "The Butler".

Gravity.

I enjoyed it but it would have benefitted from using unknown actors IMO.

Ender`s game. A fair movie I would say. Just don`t expect the depth of the book.

I will watch Walter Mitty soon.

I highly recommend: "Twelve years a Slave", "42", "Gatsby", "The Butler", "Inequality for All" and "The Wolf of Wall Street". I missed seeing a few good ones. Will have to catch up via Netflicks or check out the DVD once it arrives at the library. Has anyone seen "Her"? It sounds like a good one.

I'm a comic-book geek. I've seen all the movies based on Marvel's characters (I love Stan Lee!), and significantly fewer movies based on DC Comics characters (I missed the last Batman movie AND the last Superman movie). I'll be right there when the Captain America sequel comes out in April.

But I *still* have yet to see Catching Fire. 😞
