I simply must get me a replica of this... and a fire place... and one of those cute princesses Jusuh talked about :-).

I've just finished reading an article on a Medieval story where a chess scene plays a big part. A captured knight plays a noble lady. Apparently, chess was not an all male game... It gets even better! The lady was so confident she gave the knight an advantage: she started with one rook or knight less. And she boldly stated 'I will force your king into the corner and keep him there with a bishop (called an old one)'. And she did get the upperhand, but to save the knight from loosing, a bystander turned the board and declaired them both mated.
