A former flatmate of mine used to run around slapping fruit flies ineffectually. I found this most irritating and generally unnecessarily stimulating to the old alliterative "f" alternative response up in the adrenal cortex or whatever.

As for fooling, they have a saying in Tennessee, or at least in Texas, maybe in Tennessee**, to the effect that the shame of victimhood is somehow contingent on how many times this fooling goes down. I think I get one more post before I have my foot in my mouth as a result.
