A very sore subject for some. I would imagine the profiles remaining might be a good memory for some. Those players which put in a large portion of there time here - might well be remembered best by having a remaining membership here.

I didn't mean to burn any passed members by my first post, it was an innocent question of stats.
I know of two members who have died also, and care not to mention names.
Maybe Russ should have a small commemoration room, somewhere, where respects can be paid for members who have passed, some reminiscent posts and moves or games won (only)?
Or maybe it's just left alone; I don't know.
Maybe some closure is needed for some, and maybe some family members would like a small remembrance room. I do think it needs investigating by admin though, as they have the necessary contact e-mails.

Player ABC advised us that Player XYZ has passed away. *All round sympathies etc etc*
Two weeks later Player XYZ moves again.
People die, its a fact of life. Those that are important in that persons life will know they have passed on. Knowing that a player has died will have no real impact on someone who only knows them by a screen name.

"even though an immortal soul was imputed by God to your body at the moment of birth"
is a statement of a belief, is it not? That's your opinion, others may or may not believe the same as you do. We're not all brainwashed and indoctrinated to the point that we must believe what you believe.

I know at least 6 in person & as many more I would like to meet before one of us do the big sleep.
I am sure all the people who attend Phlabs BBQ each year have become pretty good friends.
Not everyone is just a SCREEN NAME, although to you they probably are.

In here, everyone is just a screen name, in real life they are totally different.
When the two seem the same you need a dose of reality.
Perhaps you are the only one needing a dose of reality.
Of course there are those who sprout off in here who would never do the same thing in a face to face situation. I am not pointing any fingers, but if the shoe happens to fit, so be it! 😛
