Originally posted by MarinkatombI checked out some episode with kangaroo boxing. it was slightly amusing, but other than that, it was embarrassingly bad. maybe you need to be british to fully get it?
What did you think? It took me a little while to get into it, the humour is quite unique. If get a chance to watch the live show jump at it!! π
Originally posted by MarinkatombI thought the first one was hilarious. I particularly liked the recurring "cup in the shirt pocket" thing. The second episode was (IMO) kind of so-so, but it's the same way with a lot of shows. They all have their ups and downs. I'll definitely watch a few more.

Originally posted by rbmorrisI've heard that the first season is kinda lukewarm -- which I think holds true for many of my favorite Brit comedies: Blackadder, Red Dwarf, etc.

I couldn't make it through the first couple of this show, either. I did enjoy the zoo guy who can't call animals by their proper names. Referring to the python (or was it a boa?) as "the windy man -- the long mover" was amusing.
