..no..bovines are always noted in the singular even when there are more than one..such as bison, elk, moose, deer...cows i believe are the exception..and then we have antelope, wildebeest..etc...now does anyone
know why the english language has developed this way...oh, yes, sheep but not goats and cows...hmmm...i think early english school system must have
out to lunch on plurals for a half century and you know how he english are...once they get a pattern going they don't make too many changes...

as a native mainer and fervent escapee from(once upon a time), i think your general concept is sound. HOWEVER--just make a reservation for all yuppies in the middle of the gulf of maine--say at 500 fathoms and pass a rigidly enforced law that all tourists must stop at the border, throw their money across and then go home. i realize that this is not as egocentric and satisfying as your approach, but it is much needed.
