first to a million moves should have some kind of honor.
Wonder if Russ has something in mind for that.

Originally posted by nmdavidbHopefully not, that is really cheap if they do. Think about the time spent getting to a million moves. All the friends you lost because you had to play chess, social events you wouldn't attend b/c you had to play chess, inadequate sleep and diet b/c you had to play chess. . the list goes on and on. Shouldn't that be worth more than a measly special star? That is what they give kids in elementary school for getting good grades. Certainly this is worth much much more. It is all about the sacrafices made to attain it.

I am never gonna get used to these damn newbies not giving respect to the people that gave them a place to play.

Yes, Russ has referred to himself as a code-monkey for a long time. I think Chris also does some of the code, but maybe not as much as Russ.

Oops...uhhhhh...didn't know that.
Dave humbly apologizes
No old timer would need told who the resident code monkey is.

Had he joined at the same time as Helden he would have passed the 1,000,000 mark on the 31st March 2007.
Assuming both players continue at their current rate then Indosmart will become the player with the most moves on the site in 489 days from now with a moves total of around 562,000 and will achieve the 1,000,000 moves roughly 922 days from now, i.e the 10th July 2010.
🙂
Yes I was bored enough to do the calculations.
