If you're looking for a quick memory fix, move your eyes from side-to-side for 30 seconds, researchers say.

Horizontal eye movements are thought to cause the two hemispheres of the brain to interact more with one another, and communication between brain hemispheres is important for retrieving certain types of memories.

Maybe you should try this when playing chess? 🙂

This can happen to me involuntarily sometimes. Most often when driving near intersections, looking for a location while driving, and playing chess once in a bit. My eyes will dart 5 or so times from left to right. This doesn't happen often, but I wonder if it was my brain transferring info.

I think next time I'll just let those bad boys keep going, and see what I remember.

I wonder if this has a link with sinus problems while having a cold or what not. A bowl of hot water and a towel over your head can do wonders for these problems. Headaches etc.. from those spots under your eyes....

It worked! I remembered to drink my green tea, turn off unnecessary lights, plant a tree, use one sheet of toilet paper, and contact the Mother Ship. Fantastic.

If nothing else, sitting there moving your eyes back and forth 30 times would be a good memory device. If I patted my head 30 times every time I tried to remember something I think it would help too.

Interestingly, when I took a speed reading seminar in college, their big trick was to have you scan the lines in a similar way.

Sinus problems can be a result of many different problems.

These include poor oral hygene, excess smoking, coffee consumption or even oral sex with an "unclean" women(i.e. thrush).

Another way is to hold your breath while sneezing. It forces the memories into your brain. 😲

I work in a hospice for the mentally retarded. They don't call it that, but for the viewers here, I'll call it that. There's many that move their eyes side to side constantly..
