But forget about the winner, "GIANT Antispyware". Micro$oft recently bought the company...

I get this once in a while. On the second try it usually goes though.

other firefox issue. Sometimes while trying to get to a site. It appears done loading, yet the screen is white. Multiple tries/refreshes lead to the same thing. Running IE to the same site works fine.

Some sites simply do not support anything but Internet Explorer.
With Firefox you can get a plug in that puts an option to view page with IE in the right-click context menu.
Find it in FF Themes & Extensions [in Bookmarks - FF & Mozilla links] it's called IEView and its very handy. 🙂

Never. Unless there's a problem with the site itself.

That's most likely the site's problem.

There are still a number of sites like this and it was a big problem until the last 12 months or so. More and more sites are now adhering to the official standards in Web page design. These standards are NOT met by Micro$oft, who caused the problem in the first place.

The Firefox plug-in defeats the object of avoiding IE. If a website isn't complying with Web standards, why bother visiting?

True, but if you have to go on a particular site ,it's sometimes the only way. There's one Racing one I go on that has no option for FF..

Then either contact the "webmaster" and complain, or boycott the site.

The webmster already knows.

Plus, your solution [ie boycott the site] is a bit like chopping off your nose to spite your face.

It tends to work. There are far fewer awkward websites around compared with 12 months ago.

get that sometimes with AOL's browser ... sometimes it happens when trying to access www.yahoo.com, for example. maybe the site owners mess up the html sometimes. i haven't tried IE to work around it. has not happened to me with RHP, i think.

I don't who has read my thread in the Help forum, but I can no longer view most of the images on the site using Firefox. I've regretfully resigned myself to using IE to play my games. No problems anywhere else, just here.
