I recently studied these forerunners to MMORPGs (such as World of Warcraft) and virtual words (such as Second Life, Habbo and Club Penguin). In particular I read quite a bit about Habitat, the MUD that ran on the Commodore 64 and was sometimes called a Multiple Undergraduate Destroyer, for obvious reasons.
Are there any people here who played Habi ...[text shortened]... t don't want to share it in the public forums send me a PM and I will give you my email address.

You make it sound as if it would be a bad thing, boyo.
I get it: you're terrified to be alone with your thoughts and feelings.
Some of us matured time ago and are perfectly fine with solitude, though.
Thank god for that!

Do you want to know what really terrifies me? It's not solitude or being alone with my thoughts. That's a pleasure really. What really terrifies me is being alone when I'm alone.
Do you understand what I mean?

Are you saying that it is mentally unhealthy, or unhealthy mentally, to believe we are not alone, that there is one who made us and can be with us filling the void in our being that only He can fill?
I think it's mentally unhealthy to have the idealistic illusion that one can be self sustaining. We stand alone unless we are in union with our maker. Without our maker's life sustaining support we fall irretrievably. 😉

It's called objectivism and it is a mental disease spread by the bite of
the Ayn Rand bug. Yikes!

Best to just live one's life and not put a whole lot of analysis into it.
