Couple of years ago, I had a similar experience, my car (Voyager)
started this awful sputtering backfiring sound, wouldn't go
very fast, pulled over, had my mech tow it in. I'm like expecting the
worse, like engine overhaul. He calls me up couple hours later (!)
says it ready. I go, how much. He says, 82 bucks. OMG I go, what did
you find? The distri ...[text shortened]... tened it back up and its fine now. 50 bucks for tow, 32 for labor.
I'm going, I'll take that!

imagine sparks and flames and banging and crackling sounds with the computer jumping from side to side then explodes!(actually this part is not at all true but does help the story along a litttle .. anyway the visible smoke part was true)
