At least Helden's opponents know his rating is around 1250/1400 and stays pretty much in that range 😉 rather than being up and down faster than a hookers knickers.

I myself cannot see the gratification to be gained from trawling through books and databases to repeat games that have already been played.
To me, the wonder of chess is the seemingly infinite number of positions that can be played. So why play the same game again and again?
But that is only my opinion. I am not saying I am right or wrong. It is just my preference.

I've got folders of stuff that I will probably never get to use but just in case it's all there.
