My predictions for 2008 (and in no particular order)
1. The Democrats will take the US treasury benches and the White House, but, with another Clinton in the Oval Office is not entirely certain.
2. There will be significant nuclear exchanges in the Middle east involving the US, Iran and Iraq.
3. HRH Queen Elizabeth 2 will pass this year, and Charles will succede. So, by default the first born of Camilla will be next in line to the throne, bypassing Edward and Harry.
4. The USA will suffer yet another attack even more horrific than the 9/11 event. It will bring the country and NORAD very close to midnight.
5.There will be a complete and sudden tectonic plate separation off the West Coast of America. The resulting tsunami will be devastating.
6. Planet Earth will become aware of an ELE due early 2012 (Nostradamus) and world trade, economics and general living standards will deteriorate from the announcement.
The film 'Deep Impact' is pretty much the scenario.

CD Sales will plummit to levels not seen since rotating discs made of wax were used to sell music. Much of the blame will be placed on a realization that after 10 years of listening to bands like Deefhoof, MIA, Fallout Boy, My Chemiical Romanace, Belle and Sebastien et al, that the music of today is flat, simplistic, and simply boring after 5 minutes of listening. One good song here and there are not enough to sustain CD sales for entire albums and that the 30-65 age bracket (as a whole) do not feel comfortable using pay pal to pay for songs over the internet. Copy protection is removed and a plan to charge people a flat fee collected by their ISP provider to be given to the musician associations is given serious disussion..........However, hope makes an appearance late in 2008 with rumours of a band from the UK that sounds nothing like before...stay tuned.
