Thanks, Sonhouse. His stuff must be public domain by now, any sites you could recommend? The gloomier the better for me (I got interested in old blues & country working backwards from Nick Cave).
I like www.archive.org -- lots of old bluegrass and murder ballads to download.
Do you like any Irish bands--The Chieftains, Wolfe Tones, Christy Moore...?

it has a discography of his 20 odd records. I play Irish and played in
an Irish band in LA in the 70's and early 80's called Southwind,
got some national airplay on the Lou Grant show, right after that
when the band was going well we broke up, sigh.
I love the great Irish bands, knew some of them, Boys of the Lough,
here is a recent site for them: http://www.boysofthelough.com/boysofthelough.html
they came to our wedding, as well as Robin Williamson from
the incredible string band :

It was quite a party I can tell you! at Judy Gameral's place in
Beverly hills, Judy and I were two of the founders of Southwind,
many a great afternoon rehearsing at her place, actually her folks
place, Art Gameral was her father, # 2 man at 20 th Century fox
for about 30 years, the comptroller. Judy could have done anything
she wanted, for sure! But she chose to be with us playing her
heart out on the hammer dulcimer. Man those were good days!
Now we have this little troupe called the gladsmiths, more on that later
maybe.

O please tell me how to do that. I've almost had a siezure when it comes on. I have to hold my hand over the screen to read any thread he's posted in, and I have'nt been able to read anything he's posted since he put it up. I just assume it's the usual drivel and carry on as if he was'nt there, but that avatar is making me sick.

I'm not entirely sure what the hell I'm talking about now.. but there you have it! Nads and stuff... yes...
Hand of Hecate
(good enough for a tattoo)
What's your guess? I'd say he's a catspaw for an evil woman!
