I think Wii's are good for parties or other social things, and they're good for children, but if you're slightly more serious about gaming then you'll want a proper console like an xBawks, and if you're totally serious about gaming, then spend every cent you have on a gaming PC.
It's also great as a book holder and to level tables with a shorter leg.
Is the Wii Chess network any good? I’m tempted to buy one just for that - haven’t really played computer games in years. Got a PS2 but I mainly use that as a DVD player and to play the occasional classic PS1 game.
I’m told an Xbox is the best on the market now and I wouldn’t mind playing the latest Metal Gear Solid (the first 2 games on the PS1 and 2 were about 5 years of my childhood 😛)
