...And it's not fair. I mean, it's just unfair. To gain that much popularity just for dying. I mean, anyone can do that.
I got no problem with Blind Mellon... Just there is not much way you can prove to me that the lead singer from Blind Mellon should be better known than Kurt Cobane. His music was pretty, that is why you like it better. I like both, but Kurt had way many more songs that changed the way things were done in the 90's and today!

1) Blind Melon: Blind Melon (1992)
2) Blind Melon: Soup (1996)
3) Blind Melon: Nico (year?)
My comparison is unfair- Im sorry. I should know better than to say one musician or singer (or any artist, for that matter) is better than another.
I'm just sayin', Kurt gets more respect than he deserves for his crappy music. Sorry.
Here's some more Blind Melon lyrics:
Mouthful of Cavities
Your soul's a bowl of jokes
And every day you remind me
How I'm desperately in need
See, I got a lot of fiends around
And they're peeking through nothing new
They see you
They see everything you do
Seeing everything on the inside out
Oh, please give me a little more
And I'll push away those baby blues
'Cause one of these days, this will die
So will me and so will you
I write a letter to friend of mine
I tell him how much I used to watch him smile
See I haven't seen him smile in a little while
Haven't seen him smile in a little while
But, I know you're laughing from the inside out
I know you're laughing from the inside out
Laughin' from the inside
From the inside
From the inside out

Are these good? No, are they both really good or better???

Kurt is one of my all time favorite singers. I didn't listen to Nirvana when they were popular or when they were well known because of his death. I started listening to that kind of music years later (I have to admit that at the time Nirvana and grunge was getting started I was into country, which I despise now). So my love for the band doesn't have to do with the popularity of Teen Spirit or his death. I just love the band plain and simple.
I've never tried Blind Melon, I'm not sure exactly why- I'm sure I'd like them. I'll have to go out and get a cd I think!
