I believe the exact words of the saviour were: "dude, OMG!!1 U got p0wnd!"

to which judas replied: "LOL, FAIL!"

I heard there was a gospel according to Judas, that was written out at a later stage. Cant remember where i heard it. I think it is important to remember that Most of Judas's persecution is outwith the bible, dante's inferno being a prime example.

maybe someone should start a Friends of Judas Society, aimed at restoring his reputation, he was one of the disciples after all. I suspect he was hand picked for discipleship and Jesus was not known for making mistakes in choosing friends. And by the way, if God announced to Moses "I have hardened Pharoah"s heart, then what would stop Him from hardening Iscariot's too, especially for such an important cause. Just an atheists point of view, of course. 🙂

i think you are not seeing the big picture. you start from the general idea that the creator knows everything and that this then takes away free agency ( god the playwright and judas the actor ). it is more the fact that the creator knows that there are alternative possiblilities and each actor on the stage can choose which alternative ending or role in the ending they want. they can play ending a or ending b or leave the stage and leave it to another to choose a or b. when the christ tells judas to do what he must do you are correct that the christ perceived the heart of judas in the upper room at that moment but judas after leaving the upper room could have gone from a to b or to c if he wanted at any time. the christ could see thru time to see all possible endings but could also see which ending is being chosen at any one time but also that the actor can rechoose a different ending, if they want to, an hour later.

that's only omnirecollection. and would leave him still a blind idiot. which isn't really a stretch if you think about how all the stuff went down. george bush could've handled redeeming his creation better.

I think Judas was JC's best homie. JC's knows what has to go down and Judas is the only one with the cojones to do it. Do this for me dude, trust me, they'll be talking about you for years.

Right on, I can visualise the scene. " Just hang in there laddie, men might revile you for my sake temporarily, but your reward will be waiting for you in paradise. Of course you might get there just a tad later than some of your fellow disciples, but we will drink a toast (excuse the pun) to you while we wait patiently for your arrival" It is a far, far better thing you do, than you have ever done.(Bet someone will plagiarize that line sooner or later)
