@earl-of-trumps saidYup, still kickin.
I'm pretty sure Ginger is 86 and still alive. The Thurstons, the scientist, captain, Gilligan, - everyone else is gone.

A summary of entertainers we lost in 2020:
https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-50970573
Particularly I feel the loss of some real heavy-weights:
Sir Sean Connery (actor)
Sir Ian Holm (actor)
Dame Diana Rigg (actress)
Terry Jones (film director, Python)
Olivia de Havilland (actress)
Max von Sydow (actor)
Kirk Douglas (actor)
Little Richard (seminal rock and roller)
Peter Green (guitarist)
Kenny Rogers (singer song writer)
John Prine (singer song writer)
May they all rest in peace.
@relentless-red saidCan you elucidate? I can't find the name, and you don't think about Jerrold Marsden who dies about 10 years ago?
Jerry Marsden
@ponderable saidGerry Marsden. The Gerry and the pacemakers. ynwa.

@neilarini saidThank you, I found that guy, so I have to admit I never had heard of him before...
Gerry Marsden. The Gerry and the pacemakers. ynwa.
Edit: found the song "you'll never walk alone" which I knew to be the Liverpool hymn, but didn't know until now.
@ponderable saidBorn in Toxteth. A local lad who found success around the time of the Beetles. He was also famous for the song 'Ferry Across The Mersey'. One of the city's favourite sons.

@Relentless-Red
'You'll never walk alone' was a 'cover' , originally in the musical 'Carousel' from the 50s ,I think.
Gerry and the Pacemakers had first 3 released singles go to #1, a feat not equalled until FGTH in the mid 80s
@blood-on-the-tracks saidI was watching the early morning news and they just showed Gerry and the Pacemakers, appeared to be in black and white. He looked very young in it.
