Yep that's what I thought. True to evasive form as ever; a large cloud that provides no rain.
Your cereal packet psychology and smoke & mirrors semantics may win you some well meaning admirers here, but they do nothing for me.

Fact that you employ past tense suggests you lack an adequate frame of reference

lesson worthy of note... from salmon swimming rugged rivers with miles of rapids,
waterfalls to leap upstream to reach their spawning grounds. Be of good courage.

1. self-promotion;
2. a swipe at someone (but often too chicken to actually come out and say it);
3. self-pity.
I'll admit, I'm a little confused by contention number one. Is GB pushing a book? On the circuit pimping his latest movie? Constantly embedding his postings with links to his facebook account? According to at least one source, to promote means to:
1. to help or encourage to exist or flourish; further: to promote world peace.
2. to advance in rank, dignity, position, etc. (opposed to demote).
3. Education. to put ahead to the next higher stage or grade of a course or series of classes.
4. to aid in organizing (business undertakings).
5. to encourage the sales, acceptance, etc., of (a product), esp. through advertising or other publicity.
6. Informal. to obtain (something) by cunning or trickery; wangle.
So in these regards, I see GB promoting conversations of a topical nature, yet I fail to detect the self aspect... unless one considers the topics he raises as self-created.
Maybe you can elucidate the specifics of GB's self-promotion for those of us who are unable to hear the backward masking, or have missed the equidistant letter sequencing.

Which brings up the next question: why skip the definition for self-promote, since this is clearly what Blackamp is accusing GB of? In a nutshell, the definition doesn't fit the situation. You'll noticed that I even mocked such a stance with my tongue-in-cheek questions regarding GB's phantom book and/or movie promotions.
The first definition for self-promotion is to advance in rank or position. How do you see such a scenario unfolding in this environment, exactly?

Go and watch your girly hockey; I'm waiting for gramps to come back and I can't cope with you tag-teaming him like you're in some kind of demented Donkey-Kong game.
Can you skate? Have you ever played?
I don't even know why GB bothers to even answer any of your sillyness. Perhaps he realizes you need the ATTENTION!
