Do not follow the link they gave you, it goes to a fake sign-in page. When you attempt to sign in, bam, they have your login info.
I get these all the time from banks. Well, they purport to be from a bank. Sometimes it's "we've received too many log in attempts and have shut your account down. Sign in to correct this." Even banks I do not have an account with.
The email they use to send you the message is also never from the bank's actual domain name, either, a giveaway.

I thought this phishing email was one of the more amusing.
E.g. “we have commemorated (capital C) your account.”

I received an email a while back, from a person claiming to be in charge of the investment division of the Bank of England. They have an investor who had some funds in their facilities, who have died recently, and they're looking for relatives with the same surname as me, and I'm the only one they could find.
I had to send them my personal info; id no, bank details, email address, etc, then he would keep ten percent and the rest would come to me... ha!
He sounded so sincere in his long story about how they looked for me, and they would do me a great favour, etc. I should be thankful for the chance to inherit, blah blah.
Sent him packing... 🙂
