Hey, we're supposed to tell the main tourist attractions. I could have gotten that from a search engine but it had to be a primary source. Our teachers don't care if we experienced the pubs ourselves. As long as they get their paycheck. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Went site seeing around Dublin. Stayed in a hotel far away and the only word we understood from the taxi driver was 'emalgamation' . Did the Guiness tour (.. and no.. Guiness in Ireland and Guiness anywhere else still tastes like muddy water.) and did one of those hop around tours in Dublin, where you visit 17/18 nice museums ect.

Also did some tour where you see more of the ourskirts of Dublin in a bus that made me remember I suffer from motion sickness. You go to some market where they sell nice blankets in the middle of nowhere... but it was good.

Um.. some shopping the rest of the time I think.

Was fun.

My Dad works in Ireland 3 times a year for 2 or 3 weeks each time. Over the years I have been with him a handful of times. He works in Waterford, in the south, and we tend to stay in the small village of Dunmore East, on the coast, in a thatched cottage with a real fire (sounds kind of dangerous, but...).
On my first visit, I spent a week hitching and walking around the south which was fun, camping where I could and drinking with whoever I met.
One time I went just before christmas, and all the locals had returned to their village and the pubs were packed with people relaxing for christmas - a great atmosphere.
There is a bar in Waterford, too, which sells its own whiskey. It's called Tommy Maher's and is run by an old feller who is about 90 years old and insists that no women are allowed in the bar! Still, my dad usually picks up a bottle from there, as he shares his birthday with the old bloke and that is one of the times when he is working there.
Have also passed through Dublin, but not stayed there, although it is one of the only places I have seen someone drunk at 8:30am!
I haven't been for a few years, may have to go again soon.
And the Guinness is better over there ๐Ÿ˜› (Except for Guinness Original whiich is close).
