As I'm completely neutral in the console war I can offer you an unbiased perspective.
As you may have already picked up, if you paid attention, it's all about which games you want to play, so make your choice in that department first and then buy a console. The xbox is definitely more popular out of the two, so there are a lot more games on offer, but t ...[text shortened]... ar I've never killed a guy so many times in a single round on such a large map. I'm not saying the run-of-the-mill pc gamer is better than the run-of-the-mill console gamer, I'm saying when it comes to the best, most competitive areas of gaming, the best pc gamers completely whip the best console gamers every time in terms of SKILL. Plus we have rts games. And don't talk to me about Halo Wars, rts on consoles are laughable, and fps co ...[text shortened]... fall into either fanboy category, yet am educated on the subject enough to offer an opinion.

Take all the RAM out and put only one RAM module in, boot, if it works then add another, and so on until you eliminate the problem (if it is the RAM).

The post that was quoted here has been removedLets get one thing clear. The majority of all console games suck.
If the X-box has more, then it just has more games that suck.
There really are only a small number of games that come out that really are worth spending money on, and they pretty much come out on both X-box and PS3 (perhaps not at the same time). The big problem with your argument is that you have failed to acknowledge that the PS3 is also a fine games machine too.
So, I'd like to amend what you have said - If you want to buy a good looking BluRay player, buy a BluRay player (they are cheaper now). If you want a decent games console with a BluRay player, then get a PS3 - if you want one without, get an X-Box.
It seems that the only game of note that is XBox exclusive is Halo - fun but v repetitive in my opinion and as that is available for PC, and so it seems to remove the only reason for getting one.
