Honesty is something you have or you don't have. It doesn't warrant asking for opinions, and the RHP General Forum is hardly the place for deep philosophical questions.

That's called a white lie, or diplomacy. If it's believed, you've made her happy; if it's not, at least she knows you didn't seize the opportunity to insult her.
If a person commits a single event of dishonesty, or even a series of events, that doesn't make the person a dishonest person. Hanging adjectives on to people is a bad idea. Everyone does good things and everyone does bad things, you need to look at the whole person to decide if they're someone you'd wish to use as a guiding example for your kids.
