This thread is for Postitive posters only.
Try to say good things or even nice things about others.
I will start with: I am sure HOH is a perfect gentleman and on his best behavior when he is sleeping. 😉

Detestable people can help motivate you to not be detestable like them so they can have a positive effect on you.
Bad actors and other irritating, annoying detestable people best serve as cautionary tales to the morally educable, but (sadly enough) they also serve as an inspiration to others to do evil.
So "detestables" can have both positive and negative effects. It's all how the perceptual filter in your mind interprets the data.
On the other hand, imagine a world in which everyone was perfectly nice and well-behaved and considerate and loving at all times, and who never kicked their dog once. You would go nuts from boredom in that world. And it takes too much work to be super-nice.

All the years after Harvard as he raised a family, farmed, dealt with major adversities, created a unique body of work, barded around, taught... his stated goals were simply to get students excited about more than beer and games and to lodge a few honest poems where they wouldn't get lost. Attended his last public reading at Ford Hall Forum one Sunday evening in Boston (ten months before JFK's assasination). Few years later visited this rugged yet playful New England Lad's gravesite in Old Bennington, VT, during a particularly brutal winter. Brushed away heavy snow on his rectangular stone, with moisture in the corners of both eyes, to see and touch the epitaph I already knew. It reads, "I had a lover's quarrel with the world." No significant meanies around here, Heinzkat. Just another aggressive Boston Lad who loves intensely and is sometimes a tad too rough. Thanks for your kind words. -gb
How come everybody appears to dislike you on here Grampy, you are the best, are "they" all meanies?
