If you just want to play games, go buy a Wii.
Sony and Microsoft are both focusing on making the ultimate entertainment system to take over you living room, while Nintendo are just producing a simple console and games for it.
My wife just bought us a Wii. It's awesome.

My girl has been looking for one as her anniversary present to me. We just can't find any around here.
Originally posted by AndrewKnottI think you just have to keep calling the stores. That's what she did. As soon as you find a store that has one in stock, get in your car and go out there and buy it. She found a store that had 2 in stock, so she drove over and bought one of them. As she was getting into her car, she saw another guy walk out of the store with the other one. They're going very fast.

It just won't work for us, cause I work in a call center. So I can't just get up and leave like that.
Well not for something like that.
Aha ha ha ha ha

I haven't had any desire to play any consoles since the original PS came out. All I saw was better graphics and more buttons on the controllers. The Wii was really an innovative change to how you interact with the game. A number of minor things nintendo did with the wii make it a much greater system than any of the other offerings.
Note: got mine off ebay, didn't cost me too much extra and got it in time for the wife for christmas.
Originally posted by tmetzlerI got a Wii too. Zelda and (surprisingly) Wii Bowling were pretty amazing. Alas I didn't bring it back to college with me.

Originally posted by Ramiri15I like the tennis game that came with it. I heard there's another multi-sports game coming out that's supposed to be pretty good. Last night I was up till midnight playing Splinter Cell--also very good.
