Now it gets difficult. Don't quote me on any of this... Water is darker than ice, so the
melted Arctic would absorb more heat. I think water is densest at about 4°C, so it might
actually shrink a bit as it heats up, but in general, the extra heat would cause the oceans to
slowly expand.
On the other hand, if the oceans heated up, there would be more evaporation.
Overall, yes, it probably would increase sea level, but it's not as obvious as some people
make out.
Yes, but would it increase the level that previously had not changed,
or would it increase the decreased level bringing it back to no change?
By the way, how many other hands do you have. I think I counted at
least three. My dad always said, "...on the other hand, there was a
