We don't want to "enforce with an iron fist" every thread that references a round ball and dump it in Sports, but I also will not let the General forum become cluttered with "Wow! Great goal!!!!", "[insert name of poncey striker who makes more in a day than I make in a month] is the bestest player in the WORLD!!" an ...[text shortened]... can't get some people into the Sports forum, then they probably don't actually care.

I have to agree with Crowley, Phlab, Silver, he and his friends put my thread about NZ drawing with Solivia in the Sports bin, which I thought was very considerate.

I am a relatively new poster and as I saw England vs USA in general forum I naturally assumed that was where one should put it, I was incorrect. It would have been nice to have been told, but one learns. Thanks guys - that is why of course we have a Sports thread.
