Speaking of taste (and smell) did you know that our top scientists in the U.S. are working on a water filtration system for astronauts? Yeah, it's to be used on their trip to Mars and back. The system is supposed to collect their urine, sweat and whatever other water is available then purify it to drink. 😳

Anybody wanna be an astronaut? 😲

What about natural spring water? What do you think that has been trickling through? Nobody complains about drinking that.
Any 'recycled water' is going to be thoroughly cleansed.
Why shouldn't you take shorter showers and not use water on gardens etc?
In the UK we have been having hosepipe bans in summer for years now. Sharing a bath with another person was advertised on tv as a good way to save water! 🙂

I wouldn't worry. Where I live, if Mother Nature cleans the water, often we have to clean it a second time anyway before it's drinkable. After all, Mother Nature lets the fish piss in her water.

They won't and anyway, the water from the dam has to be treated to make it drinkable.
BTW, 70% of the tap water in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, is recycled and has been for over 40 years. The Aussies just better get used to the idea.

Hmmm... interesting point.
Of course asking 'do fish drink water'? is a bit absurd.

Reminds me of when a person asked me, "Do Eskimos have refrigerators?" When I said, "No", he replied, "How do you think they keep their food from freezing!?" I was only 19 years old and wasn't sure if the definition of a refrigerator could include something 'that preserves food'? So he had me stumped as to whether Eskimos had refrigerators or not? 😞
