Yes, this is impossible. These two claims have contradictory implications, and hence cannot both be true.
I was not sure about asking this question yes or no, but in the end my curiosity won.
Can you explain why this is impossible ?
... and now I'm hoping that in this case curiosity does not kill the cat !!

Lust first.Of course Jesus would be tempted
But,
You can be tempted in many ways; pictures, images, ideas, thoughts, emotions, feelings, questions or proposals of all kinds.
The question is do I accept the invitation yes or no ?
Christ was tempted by satan in the desert and was offered everything as far as He could see. Now that must have been quite an experience, accompanied by all sorts of thoughts and feelings.
He did not accept the proposal and that's what it is all about ...

Why is that ? I can't follow your reasoning here.

If they are right in and of themselves, then they are right independently of God's willing that they be followed. This is about as clear as this point can be made. If you still do not understand, then perhaps you should try to be more specific about your confusion.

Originally posted by ivanhoeI would offer this possible interpretation of the temptation in the wilderness. It was a conversation that Jesus was having with his shadow. All the temptations, food, power, and freedom from fear and pain are all very human temptations. I also see the whole wilderness experience as a powerful story that reminds us of the need to face our own "demons" before we ask others to do the same. The wilderness experience is his right of passage. His ministry and his mission would not be "clean" without this experience.

(Truthfully, they all know I love them all.) God bless and have a nice day. From Br. Kirk and the Apostles. 😉
Yes there is a God. The bible says there is. If U dont believe me then read it for yourself cause the bible dont lie!
STOP PRESS!
All this endless philosophical babble has proven to be completely useless, because of a recent development. The ABSOLUTE, COMPLETE, and UTTER truth about everything has just now been revealed to me by way of DIVINE REVELATION. For example: the correct way to spell 'chicken' is actually 'chikken', contrary to what dictionaries will tell you. The dictionaries just got it plain wrong. Also, there IS a GOD, and his name is <word too long>. You may now fall to your collective knees and worship me. Wuhahahahahaaaaaaa
EDIT: just to clarify, God's name isn't too long to reproduce here - it is literally '<word too long>'...
