When you are selling something £1.99 is apparently better than £2.00 even though it has more syllables, is it the same with Aussie dollars?
Good Points have been made for round numbers. I think the "100" aimed for in the original post is just to have a three Digit number 🙂

"100" posts by August 31, 2013, will require an average of three plus each day
(triple this forum's thread/average for all 30 threads for the past thirty days).
With yesterday's warm welcome, the disinterest in conversation may be over.
Laws of Gravity (even with cyberspace pendulums) must eventually be obeyed.
"RHP General Forum Conversation" frame of reference thread provides the following summary:
Total Posts: 32,359 Posts on RHP's General Forum, Page One. [33,271 = +912 / 30 days = +30.4 per day]*
Thread 153985 (page 7)
Thirty (30) posts each day from June 29 through July 29, 2013, suggests one (1) post each day for each of the thirty (30) threads on page one of this forum will continue to be available during August, 2013, unless site posting habits change.

The Canadian penny has recently gone the way of the Dodo bird. If the bill says for example, $5.96/97 you pay $5.95., if it says $5.98/99 you pay $6.00 Similarly with $5.01/02 You pay $5.00 if $ 5.03/04 you pay $5.05.
As far as I know in Finland they do it and also in Switzerland, without any Problems.

Hey, Stees, sooner or later we all lose everything and everyone we love.
Originally posted by Great Big SteesWe did that 20 years ago, got rid of our 1c and 2c coins. The only effect, apart from a few people complaining that prices would go up (they didn't), was a lightening of our purses. Practically everything is bought with cards these days and you get charged the exact amount. In the supermarket the girl reads $67.93, says out loud "67.95" in case the customer wants to do cash, then says nothing when the card transaction goes through at $67.93. It doesn't bother anyone at all. The few places still taking cash like the local takeaway don't charge in odd cent amounts.

It's all so trivial that we're considering doing away with the 5c coin too. As it is now 98% of them go into that box on the checkout counter owned by the local hospital. $1 and $2 have been coins for the same length of time, and even $5 may not be a note for much longer.
Our indestructible plastic currency notes are all of different sizes and colours, people with visual difficulties love them. I don't know how those people cope in the US.
Australian $ not dissimilar to US $ and CAN $1 in recent times.
