The standard is so high that it makes very difficult to judge. Sometimes you have to distinguish between what is "good" and what it is that you really like. To make my decisions I had to ask the question, "is this something I would listen to again and again?"

(Sonata is just a beautiful piece, beautifully performed. I really enjoyed the inventiveness of Conceptual Inrush. Django is well structured and superbly performed. Honourable mentions to Ugly Duchess - Krapsparov and Skating on a Winter Lake - Sonhouse & Family)

(Bob - I love this girl's voice, which along with the music brings back fond memories of 80's group Blondie. Great lyrics. Brilliant. Sweet Carolina - this is so cool and mellow with superb vocals. I wish to acknowledge the complexity of this exercise was good for my computer chops.

I’m omitting my vote in any catagory I might be considered, even though I sung “Smooth” I did not wish to be considered in vocal voting, more, my musicianship as a guitarist, as a whole, playing a cover song with a band format.

I could not decide between 1 and 2. I listened over and over to both songs and still couldn't decide. In the end i relied on my very first impression upon hearing them both for the first time. Oh my sweet Carolina i was gobsmacked. Smooth was OH Yeah!! I love listening to Losing my religion and i really liked Jimslyp's version.
