@ghost-of-a-duke saidI'm sure your dear lady wife thinks that the game was perfectly good. I tried quarking once, it didn't go very well, I'm much better at quacking. My duck imitation is second to none.
I just lost a perfectly good game of scrabble because of 'quarking:'
Definition:
Quarking is a ninja ballerina snowboard style term, borrowed from quantum physics. It is defined a 1: riding with the shoulder outside the nose of the board while on toe edge.

@Ghost-of-a-Duke
does it matter which/whose dictionary is used?
i don't always spell words the same way
i prolly wouldn't last long at this game
@ghost-of-a-duke saidWere you playing an electronic version? If so, she may not have actually known it was word and only played it after the program indicated it was legal.
I knew quark was a word (I played it) but had no idea the good wife could put 'ing' on the end in the closing stages of the game, winning by 6 points.

quarking -1: riding with the shoulder outside the nose of the board while on toe edge.

Of course, this definition can only make sense to a body as high as a Denver coyote

@vivify saidNo sir, we always play with a real board.

As my wife's first language isn't English, she is allowed to check words in the dictionary before playing them. (For the sake of equity).

@earl-of-trumps saidThe meaning of the word isn't even the important part that she beat him in a game not even her first language is what is great about it! π

@ghost-of-a-duke saidServes you right for marrying a Japanese ninja snowboard ballerina polymath. Nyuk nyuk.
I knew quark was a word (I played it) but had no idea the good wife could put 'ing' on the end in the closing stages of the game, winning by 6 points.

@very-rusty saidIn the game in question, we both scored over 350.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidIndeed, for both players to score over 350 is an achievement worthy of a solid marriage.

Don't blame me someone who's first language isn't English beat you at scrabble, no one to blame but yourself. I hope you have to look at THAT smile for the rest of your living days, should take you down a peg or two off of that high horse you've been on.
