Speaking of phones, next week the cell phone companies here will start to charge for all incoming calls to your cell phone, including unsolicited calls from telemarketers, wrong numbers, and anything else. I guess if you don't like someone, you can just call them repeatedly on their cell phone.

I took a stand against the phone company years ago, after they started recovering costs for tax deductible charitable contributions they made, by adding another monthly charge to customer bills.
Had lots of threats and choice words, and demanded they shut off my service. Had to eat humble pie a couple weeks later, and pay additionally to have it turned back on. It sucks, being so dependent.
