I do still stand by what I said, I couldn't give a monkeys.
Diana's death showed the true power of the media.

On that first morning when you heard you just thought that is a famous person cut off in her prime (not much different to Jill Dando really), but by the middle of the week everyone was supposed to be full genuine grief, national mourning had enveloped the nation.

Thats what happens if you let the Daily Mail dictate!

I handed my MA thesis in the day before she died, I got very drunk, woke up and realised I could actually watch TV for the first time in about 6 weeks and there it was. Hour after hour. after hour of the same thing. I could not believe it went on all day.

on this issue, well he said something stupid. There may be more behind his sacking than just this issue.

I don't get how it is offensive.

I have heard all types of jokes from Princess Di, Ayrton Senna, Morecambe Bay, Sept 11th ones.

There is nothing offensive in this joke. Maybe insensitive, but surely that's not a sacking offense because it's not malicious.

I wouls start a thread on offensive jokes but I'm sure it wouldn't last long.
