How much you like or dislike school often changes quite a bit depending on what level of school you are in. I am in graduate school, which is great, as someone pointed out, it's completely voluntary (I actually get paid to go to school) and so everyone is there simply because they want to be. It's a more much enjoyable environment for both the students and professors as a result of that.

I'm studying neuroscience. Actually, a lot of the science oriented graduate programs (at least in the US) come with 'stipends', which is basically the same thing as a salary. And your tuition is all paid for, no need to worry about that. So, if you're really interested in something academic, then maybe the idea of an enjoyable experience in graduate school will motivate you to get through the often dull experience of high school!
