Comics are a medium, same as films or books, they may have a disposition towards superhero stories (which I personally enjoy), but there is much more there as well. I've not tried many of the following (I only have so much money) but if you want to try something good have a look at Maus (which won the Pullitzer prize), Blankets, Peresepholis (probably spelt wrong!), Stray Bullets (excellent crime noir), Palomar (by the Hernandoz brothers), Optic Nerve, Eightball. Beyond that there's mainstream stuff, Manga, and things like Love Fights and Queen and Country which are completely different. Go on... buy some... I dare you! You might even like them!
You are a boy aren't you? And you like comics? This proves that it is a boy thing (and maybe some very rare females).

As my avatar testiments, the Watchmen was my fav ever graphic novel. There are lots in contension though.
As for the "boys only" line, statistcally this is true in the west (not true in Japan by the way). But by the same argument I can say "Pop singles are for 9-14 year old girls: all other music is male". Its got stats behind it, but we all know its a silly thing to say.

Maybe in Louisville but do you know what my friends would think of me if I did that? *sigh* but you did dare me... fine then. I'll try and get some but I get to dare you to do something. Dye your hair platinum blonde. 😛

And how about that internet?!? Hee! Actually, tell us the kind of stuff you like and maybe we can make some suggestions as to titles.
