but for me relaibility is a key when using an games system.
If you have to keep changing the machine, whats the point after spending so much money...
Originally posted by Bad wolfDepends on the machine I guess, as I mentioned I donlt have one.
I don't see that as a problem, my 360 works fine.
My mate does and he has had to change it 2 times in 6 months.
I do own a PS3 and that seems to be running fine at present.
Bottom line is that its a personal prefernce I think, a bit like sega / SNEZ, PS2 / 360 etc .
If your happy with your machine, then thats all that matter

On paper the PS3 has better specs than the X-Box (hence the price difference). However, when it comes down to playing them the differences in graphics, processor speed, etc. are barely noticeable. They're pretty much the same machine in a different shaped case, so it all depends what kind of games you like to play.
I hate X-Box controllers.
So it will always be PlayStation for me...

One over thing to note about the game is that Micro$oft have signed a deal with Rockstar games to give them exclusive rights on any expansion or episodic content packs for GTA 4. Which means all the extra story lines, characters, etc... are ONLY going to be available on the x-Box 360 version.
I'll believe it when I see it.
i just got my ps3 a week ago. my friend just got his 360 a week ago. so far, I think im winning. Pretty much all shooter games are now multi platform, all sport games are as well so you get them all on whatever system you get except the obvious halo. PS3 will be having mgs4 and gta and a butt load of amazing final fantasys coming out soon, it is a blue ray player which will inevitably toss dvds to the curb next year, and a blue ray player at the moment will cost you about 250 more than a ps3. And i do love the new ps3 controller although it hasnt really changed the top buttons are much softer and user friendly.
Big 360 games coming out by the end of this year:
Halo 3 (360 exclusive)
Mass Effect (360 exclusive)
Bioshock (360 exclusive)
Madden '08
Guitar Hero III
Rock Band
Beautiful Katamari (360 exclusive)
Lost Odyssey (360 exclusive)
Eternal Sonata (360 exclusive)
Blue Dragon (360 exclusive)
NHL '08
NBA Live '08
Skate
Half-Life 2: The Orange Box
Ace Combat 6 (360 exclusive)
Virtua Fighter 5
PGR 4 (360 exclusive)
It's going to be a very expensive holiday for me, I can say that. I don't think I'll be able to buy - and find time to play - all the games I want over the rest of the year.
