If that's the case, I won't have anything to say at all.
You could just go around correcting people, bowwman seems to find this fullfilling.
You could go around correcting and trying to one up everyone, Xanthos seems to find this fullfilling.
You could give everyone cookies.

You could write interesting and borderline disturbing posts about human nature and sexuality, works for shavixmir.
You could become a yesman, lackey or lapdog, there are many examples of this.
There are so many roles and responibilities to be filled on an internet forum like this one. I'm sure you'll find something.

Non-Subs have no rights, no power, nothing. They free-load off the site. A few are decent sensible people, but it seems that the majority are miserable ass holes who seem unable to write sensible posts in the forums. Most seem to me to just put spam in the forums. To some people the word association game is spam. But the difference is that starrman has p ...[text shortened]... mpt to annoy the hell out of other peole, especially when there is such an easy solution to it.
I subscribed to;
1, Support this great site
2, Play Chess with freedom
3, Unlock all the site's features
Now not everyone feels the need to do that. I log in to the site to play chess, then visit the Forums after all games been played. I very much doubt that some are here specially for the Forums, as there are much wider taste out there on the net with no restrictions but complete freedom to express whatever the hell anyone wants to express..
It took me a while till I got subscribed as I was skint. Not everyone can afford it, and banning non-sub's from the Forums is not particularly fair.
I agree that some take the micky and waste everyone's time, but without few nuts, the fruit cake can never be complete...
Unless you are allergic to nuts..
I think everyone is entitled to their say. If people want to disrespect and make arses out of themselves, then let them do it. As long as they don't cause offense to other users.
Live and let live.

I'm sorry but if people can afford to buy a computer and internet conncection then they can cough up $30 dollars for a one year subscription.
If the people arn't here for the forums then what would be the problem with banning them from the sub forums. If they wanted to post an opinion then they can do it in the non-subs forums. They would still be able to read the sub forums, just not post in there. We obviously have to show them what the difference is so that they feel more inclined to subscribe.

"the difference is that starrman has paid to make that thread. He has paid to have an opinion on this site, non-subs havn't. They havn't paid to play or to post, and until they pay their dues to the site, they should be put under lock and key in their own forum"
I must pay to have an opinion on this site?
How ridiculous!
All sites are based on "try and if you like pay",and if you ban non-subs from forums I think that the administrators incomes would decrease since there's a good percentage of non subs reading forums that then choose to subscribe.
Tell me,did you subscribe here without even playing a little for free and without taking a look or posting in forums?
your vision of "they don't pay so they don't deserve anything" it's awful........

Originally posted by FisichI think you will find that I have said nothing about not allowing non-subs to post or read forums or play games. What I am saying is that they should be able to read the sub forums to get an idea of what they are missing out on, but only be allowed to post in their own forum. There they would still be able to interact with sub because subs would be able to post in the non-subs forums, to help out etc...

What is the problem with that?
I think you will find that I played about 20 games here and then subscribed and made around 5 posts. Do you intend on subscribing or are you permenantly going to "trying the site out" surely you've made up your mind whether you like the site enough to stay after a month?
Originally posted by Freddie2004My post was in jest, as you must know. I'm just poking fun at the whole idea. If you tune into a radio or TV program you don't like, change the channel. If you don't like the direction a thread is going, ignore it or alert the moderators.
You own a computer and an internet conncetion and you're telling me that you can't afford a subscription???
I've only "been" here a short while but I've seen plenty of junk posts from both sides of the aisle.
Originally posted by Freddie2004This is the attitude that irks me the most about people like you :I'm here since a couple of weeks and if I want I can stay here for years without subscribing.

Yes,I like the chess part of the site but I've read enough to see that non subscribers are not loved in forums.
I like to play some quick games when I have the opportunity to,I'm not interested in playing a hundred of games or playing tournaments,I'm here to have some relax playing my games, that's all.
But no one has the right to tell me that I must subscribe because he doesn't like people playing for free and trying the site.
Yes,I tried the site but I won't subscribe.
So what?
