Some popular program (which I don't have, so I don't know which) which installed an update in the last month had a sneaky popup program installed along with it. I've been hearing complaints from all directions. Running a good malware program (I use malwarebytes myself) will find it and kill it.

The problem is we like free stuff. We click yes on lots and lots of free stuff, even when our PC tells us not to...because it's free, right?
Some newer stuff has not been tested, so it is good to consult third-party sites to see what people are saying about it before installing.
